Massage at home for expats and retirees
Atenas is famous for its climate, and Grecia has a growing community of foreign residents. Many homes sit on hillsides well away from town, and nobody wants to spend an afternoon driving to a spa. So we bring the spa to you: deep tissue for back and shoulder tension, Thai massage to stay flexible, or a relaxation massage on the terrace.
Villas, vacation homes and groups
Visitors rent villas in La Garita, Atenas and Grecia as a base between the airport and the Pacific coast; a massage on the first or last night takes the flight out of the body. In a group sharing a villa, each person pays the mobile price of their own massage, travel included, and groups of 5 or more get $10 / ₡5,000 off per person; see mobile group massage prices for the totals.
Price and arrival time
The mobile price is the same all-in price as in San José, travel included and no distance surcharge: for 60 minutes per person, relaxation is $80 / ₡40,000, deep tissue $90 / ₡45,000 and Thai massage $100 / ₡50,000. Because Grecia and Atenas are farther from our base, we confirm the arrival time on WhatsApp before you book; a day of notice helps. For gated communities and farms, send us the house number and a location pin, and let the guard know you are expecting a visitor.
The spa is on your way to the airport
Our spa in Plaza Río Segundo, next to Escuela David, is 15 minutes from the airport and on your way there: about 30 to 40 minutes from Grecia or Atenas in normal traffic. The spa price list is lower, relaxation from $40 / ₡20,000, and groups of 3 to 5 people are treated at the same time. A massage before an evening flight is a good way to end a stay. See also Alajuela.
